Cleaning out my closet

Ok, so I don't really have a closet, and I haven't really cleaned up my room for about 4 years

But there were a lot of things that needed to be thrown out of my already crowded and very dirty room. I fired up the vacuum cleaner and started to tear away at 6 years worth of dust, accumulated clutter, and other garbage that you can find in a typical boy's room.

Threw out old porn cds, hahaha, I don't need it anymore, there's always the internet. :D Threw out readings and notes that I had since first year college, and my one and only semester in graduate school. Threw out the cases of pirated dvds which were already crumbling to pieces. Found a lot of old clothes that are still usable, I'll donate them when the next natural disaster arrives. I think there's a big rat roaming around the house, found huge rat droppings in a corner of the room, I already setup some glue traps and some Dora rat poison. I didn't realize that I had accumulated so much pocket books, back in the days when I still enjoyed reading, I could finish a novel in one sitting on a Sunday. I also realized that over the last 4 years I've gone through a lot of expensive colognes, and I didn't even spend a peso on them, all were gifts from relatives.

Among the trash and clutter were also some things that I had totally forgotten about, and now about to be resurrected into a new life.

I also found some artifacts from a previous relationship, some love notes written on an old notebook that used to make me kilig and pictures of yesterday that I thought I had gotten rid off. I couldn't remember anymore why I didn't throw them out, I guess I was still in the blind belief that things would work themselves out and everything would go back to the way it was....NOT, to the trash they go!

Cleaning my room, was not only a physical activity, it was also an emotional exercise, not only was my room somewhat "maluwag" and clean my soul also went through some cleansing as well. I was now able to let go of things I held dearly for so long, it's amazing how things can change so much within a couple of years.

Change is good, why fight it?

Happy Holidays to All!
